Notice of Intent to Dispose of Real Property The City Council of the City of Charlotte will consider authorizing the transfer of a total of approximately 6.4 acres to the North Carolina Railroad (NCRR) that was purchased as part of the Blue Line Extension (BLE) Project in Mecklenburg County, NC. The City and NCRR entered into a lease agreement whereas the City acquired several properties for the relocation of existing freight tracks. As part of the consideration for the lease, the City is required to transfer said property to NCRR after completion of the BLE Project. Notice is hereby given pursuant to NC General Statute §160A-271 that the Charlotte City Council intends to consider the transfer of the parcels identified in the table above to NCRR at its September 22, 2025, meeting, located in the Meeting Chamber at the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center, 600 E.
