NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ASSESSMENTS FOR THE LAMAR BOULEVARD PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT, CITY OF ARLINGTON, TEXAS PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER 372, TEXAS LOCAL GOVERNMENT CODE Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Arlington, Texas, will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chamber of City Hall, 101 W. Abram Street, Arlington, Texas, to receive public comment and consider the adoption of the updated Service and Assessment Plan (including a current budget), accepting the FY2026 Assessment Roll, levying the assessments for the Lamar Boulevard Public Improvement District (the "District"), and requiring the payment of the assessments, pursuant to the Public Improvement District Assessment Act, Chapter 372, Texas Local Government Code, for the purpose of providing the funding for services and public improvements described below to serve the property designated within the District. At the public hearing, the City Council will hear and rule on any objections that are raised regarding the Service & Assessment Plan, Assessment Roll, and levying of assessments against properties in the District. The District is entering year three of a ten-year term. In accordance with the adopted Service & Assessment Plan, City Council will consider assessments against qualifying property in the District of $0.018 (1.8 cents) per $100 of assessed property value. The revenue stream from these assessments will be used to enhance services, undertake certain improvements, including maintaining the median, parks, green spaces, and structures within those areas such as pavilions, walkways, lighting, benches, trash receptacles, and similar items; providing all necessary grading, drainage, and similar infrastructure involved in the construction of parks and green spaces; distinctive lighting improvements; public landscaping improvements including landscaping, hardscaping, and irrigation; pedestrian pathways or passages; specialty signage and monuments; acquisition and installation of public art; insurance of all improvements; administrative and legal costs for the PID; and supplemental services including services relating to advertising and promotional programs that will benefit properties within the proposed PID. The total cost of the noted public improvement projects and programs identified in the FY2026 Program Year is approximately $73,009. All written or oral objections will be considered at the public hearing. A copy of the proposed FY2026 Assessment Roll and Service and Assessment Plan for the District is available for public inspection at the Office of the City Secretary, City of Arlington, at 101 West Abram Street, Arlington, Texas, 76010, (817) 459-6186.
