You are hereby given notice that the property listed below was seized or abandoned in the course of enforcing the wildlife laws of the State of Mississippi, and following all usual, reasonable, and diligent efforts to contact the person or persons believed to own said property, notice is hereby given, via publication, to said persons by the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks.

CONNECTION BETWEEN THE PROPERTY AND THE VIOLATIONS OF THE MISSISSIPPI HUNTING, FISHING OR BOATING LAWS, AS SET OUT IN § 49-7-103;
This property was used in the hunting of deer at night with the aid of a light, lighting device, light amplifying device, or thermal imaging equipment as set out in §49-7-95, or such other violation which authorizes seizure and civil forfeiture as set forth in Miss. Code Ann. §49-7-103. If you wish to contest the forfeiture of this property, you must, within thirty (30) days of receiving this notice, file a request in writing, for judicial review (court hearing).
INSTRUCTIONS FOR FILING A REQUEST FOR JUDICIAL REVIEW
Your request for judicial review must be in writing and must be signed. It should include a statement of your interest (ownership) in the seized property and why you believe that the property is not subject to forfeiture. All requests for judicial review should be sent by certified mail to the following address:

If you request judicial review, a Petition for Forfeiture will then be filed by the Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks in the appropriate court. If you do not request judicial review within thirty (30) days of receiving this notice, the property described above will be forfeited to the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks, to be used, distributed, or disposed of in accordance with the provisions of Miss. Code Ann. § 49-7-255 (1972).
