NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING – FY2026 BUDGET
Notice is hereby given that the Fort Worth City Council began the FY2026 Budget process with the presentation of the recommended budget by the City Manager.
A Public Hearing on the recommended budget, which consists of both an operating and a capital component, will be held at a special called City Council meeting at
5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 16, 2025.
The City Council is scheduled to vote on the recommended budget at its regular business meeting on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, which will begin immediately following the special called meeting for the budget and tax rate hearings.
The Public Hearing and the City Council vote on the recommended budget will both be held in the City Council Chamber, Fort Worth City Hall, 100 Fort Worth Trail, Fort Worth, Texas, 76102.
Fort Worth taxpayers and other interested persons are encouraged to attend these public meetings and may participate in the public hearings. The proposed budget is available for inspection at the City Secretary's Office, and on the internet at the City's web site,
fortworthtexas.gov.
Sec. 102.005(b) Notice Language: This budget will raise more total property taxes than last year's budget by $25,704,172 or 3.37%, and of that amount $21,082,569 is tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the tax roll this year.
