SUMMARY OF ORDINANCE NO. 947 The following is a summary of Ordinance No. 947, adopted by the City Council of the City of Eagle, Ada County, Idaho, on July 22, 2025: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EAGLE, ADA COUNTY IDAHO, AMENDING TITLE 7 "BUILDING REGULATIONS", CHAPTER 1 "BUILDING CODES", ADDING ARTICLE G "INTERNATIONAL WILDLAND-URBAN INTERFACE CODE"; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EAGLE, Ada County, Idaho: A summary of the principal provisions of Ordinance No. 947 of the City of Eagle, Ada County, Idaho adopted on July 22, 2025, are as follows: Section 1: Enacts a new Article G to Title 7, Chapter 1 of the Eagle City Code adopting the 2018 International Wildland-Urban Interface Code (IWUI), including Appendices A and B, with amendments. Establishes purpose and applicability within the Wildland-Urban Interface Overlay District, adoption of IWUI provisions, amendments to enforcement, penalties, fire protection plan requirements, sprinkler system provisions, and vegetation management standards. Provides exemptions for projects with City-approved Fire Protection Plans prepared by a Certified Wildfire Mitigation Specialist or Fire Protection Engineer. Section 2: Provides that this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication, according to law; provides for severability; repeals conflicting ordinances, resolutions, and orders.
