PUBLIC NOTICE CITY OF NORTH MYRTLE BEACH ELECTION The Municipal Election Commission of the City of North Myrtle Beach, SC announces the election for the City of North Myrtle Beach to be held Tuesday, November 4, 2025. This is a nonpartisan election and no party affiliation shall be placed on the ballot. Any person wishing to register to vote in this election must do so no later than Saturday, October 4, 2025. One may register online at www.scvotes.gov or contact the Horry County Board of Voter Registration at (843) 915-5440. Absentee ballots must be obtained through the Horry County Voter Registration office in Conway. The following offices shall be included in this election: Mayor November 2025-November 2029 Council Member At-Large November 2025-November 2029 Council Member Ocean Drive Ward November 2025-November 2029 Council Member Windy Hill Ward November 2025-November 2029 Citizens desiring to be candidates for the above listed office may file at the North Myrtle Beach City Hall with the City Clerk. Books will open for filing on August 22, 2025, at 12 noon and remain open during regular business hours until 12 noon on September 5, 2025. The City will be closed on September 1, 2025, for the Labor Day holiday. The filing fee is $150.00 for Mayor and $75.00 for the office of Council Member. At the close of the polls, the North Myrtle Beach Municipal Election Commission will count the absentee ballots at City Hall. The Commission will meet at North Myrtle Beach City Hall at 10:00 AM on Thursday, November 6, 2025, to certify the election and determine the validity of ballots challenged in the election. Any runoff will be held two weeks after the election on Tuesday, November 18, 2025.
