View original filePublic Notice MODEL CITY COMMUNITY ADVISORY COMMITTEE  
The Miami-Dade County Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) will hold an Election  Orientation Public Meeting on September 10, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at the Joseph Caleb Center,  Meeting Room 110 located at 5400 NW 22nd Avenue, Miami, Florida 33142. 
Miami-Dade is conducting an election orientation public meeting to familiarize residents and stakeholders with the  election process. The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss the election process, including election candidate  and voter qualifications, and to begin the registration process for candidates and voters. 
All eligible candidates and voters must register before Election Day. Eligible candidates and voters must be at  least 18 years and provide proof of residency, property ownership, business ownership, or employment  within the Model City boundaries.

Registration for candidates and voters will begin at this meeting. Candidates and voters that wish to register at this  meeting must bring the following documentation to the meeting: 
1. Government issued photo identification 
2. Residents within the Model City Boundaries: 
• A current utility bill with the candidate’s/voter’s name and an address within the Model City boundaries. 
• Deeds, mortgages or homestead exemption documentation with the candidate’s/voter’s name and an  
address within the Model City boundaries. 
• Official correspondence from a governmental agency indicating the candidate’s/voter’s name and an address  
within the Model City boundaries. 
3. Property Owners within the Model City Boundaries: Deeds, mortgages and/ or mortgage payment documentation  
with the owner’s name and address showing ownership and proof that the property in question is located within  
the Model City boundaries. 
4. Business Owners within the Model City Boundaries: Corporate records and evidence that the business is located  
within the Model City boundaries. 
5. Employees within the Model City Boundaries: A letter or other documentation (e.g. paystub with the business  
address) from the employer stating that the voter’s work location is within the Model City boundaries. 
Spanish and Creole translators will be available at the meeting to assist non-English speaking members of  the public.
