Request for Qualified/Certified M/UBE and W/UBE Participation from Professional Service Providers City of Durham, North Carolina Department of Water Management Request for Qualifications Design Build Services for The Western Intake Partnership (WIP) Intake/Raw Water Facilities Design Build Project RFQ Due Date August 28th, 2025 – 2:00 PM Ballard Marine Construction, LLC, as a Joint Venture Partner with Traylor Brothers Inc., is soliciting interested Minority Owned Underutilized Business (M/UBE) and Woman Owned Underutilized Business (W/UBE) Professional Service Providers to participate in the Phase 1 Design and Preconstruction Services Scope of this Project and providing Qualification Packages. The WIP Intake and Raw Water Facilities will be designed to receive untreated ("raw") water from Jordan Lake through a concrete tower style intake structure and raw water transmission pipeline, then pump into the regional water treatment facility (RWTF). The Intake and Raw Water Facilities will be designed to deliver at least 22 million gallons per day (MGD) of raw water to the RWTF at its initial construction. The construction project will include several structure, including, but not limited to the intake tower, with attached intake screens and appurtenances, raw water intake pipeline, raw water pump station, with its process mechanical, building mechanical, electrical and controls elements, and associated pavement, area lighting stormwater management, operations and maintenance workspaces, materials storage, wetwell structure and raw water transmission pipeline.
