NOTICE INVITING BIDS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lucia Mar Unified School District (hereinafter referred to as "Owner") will receive up to, but no
later than 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 sealed bids for the award of:
Bid No. 26-01
Nipomo High School Pool Deck Replacement
Project No. 0588
Bids shall be made on the forms furnished by the Owner. Bid Documents may be obtained from the Lucia Mar Unified School District website at https://www.luciamarschools.org/apps/pages/Current-Bids. Please contact Andy Stenson at 805-474-3000 ext.1032 for more information, including availability of the Bid. Bids shall be opened and publicly read aloud at the above-stated time. Faxed Bid Documents will not be accepted.
There will be a mandatory Pre-Bid Conference at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 18, 2025 at Nipomo High School, 525 N. Thompson
Rd., Nipomo, CA 93444. Each bidder must sign in prior to 10:00 a.m. A District representative will be onsite at least 15 minutes prior to
the start time with a sign in log. Any Contractor bidding on the Project who fails to attend the entire mandatory job walk and conference will be deemed a non-responsive bidder and will have its bid returned unopened.
Bids must be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashier's check, or a Bid Bond in favor of the Owner in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the submitted Total Bid Price. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Total Bid Price, as stated in the Bid Documents. Contractor shall comply with PCC § 4108 with respect to subcontractor bond requirements.
Pursuant to B&P Code § 7028.15 and PCC § 3300, Contractors shall possess the following California Contractor's license(s) in order to perform the Work A or B. Subcontractors must possess the appropriate licenses for each specialty subcontracted. Bidders are advised that this Contract is a public works project as defined in Labor Code section 1720, which requires payment of prevailing wages Each Contractor bidding on this Project and all Subcontractors (of any tier) performing any portion of the work must comply with the Labor Code sections 1725.5 and 1771.1 and must be properly and currently registered with California Department of Industrial Relations and qualified to perform public works pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 throughout the duration of the Project. Pursuant to PCC § 22300, the successful Contractor may substitute securities equivalent to monies withheld by the Owner.
In accordance with Education Code Section 17076.11, the Owner has a DVBE participation goal of at least three percent (3%) per year of the required state funds. Bidders are encouraged to seek and include DVBE participation. Prior to, and as a condition precedent for, final payment under this Contract, the contractor will be required to provide documentation to the Owner identifying the amounts paid to DVBE's in conjunction with this Contract.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bid, and to be the sole judge of
the merits of the respective Bids received. No bidder may withdraw his/her bid for a period of ninety (90) days after the date set for the
opening of bids.
