NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING The following orders were adopted by the Town Council of the Town of Cary, North Carolina (the "Town") on July 18, 2019, which orders were approved by the vote of a majority of the qualified voters of the Town who voted thereon at a referendum duly called and held on October 8, 2019: ORDER AUTHORIZING $112,000,000 PARKS AND RECREATIONAL FACILITIES BONDS BE IT ORDERED by the Town Council of the Town of Cary, North Carolina: 1. That pursuant to the Local Government Bond Act, as amended, the Town of Cary, North Carolina is hereby authorized to contract a debt, in addition to any and all other debt which said Town may now or hereafter have power and authority to contract, and in evidence thereof to issue Parks and Recreational Facilities Bonds in an aggregate principal amount not exceeding $112,000,000 for the purpose of providing funds, together with any other available funds, for improving and expanding the existing park, greenway and recreational facilities of said Town and acquiring and constructing new park, greenway and recreational facilities of said Town, inside and outside its corporate limits, including, without limitation, the acquisition of open space land and other land for parks and recreational use, rights of way and equipment. 2. That taxes shall be levied in an amount sufficient to pay the principal of and the interest on said bonds. 3. That a sworn statement of debt of said Town has been filed with the Deputy Town Clerk and is open to public inspection. 4. That this order shall take effect when approved by the voters of said Town at a referendum as provided in said Act. ORDER AUTHORIZING $113,000,000 TRANSPORTATION BONDS BE IT ORDERED by the Town Council of the Town of Cary, North Carolina: 1. That pursuant to the Local Government Bond Act, as amended, the Town of Cary, North Carolina is hereby authorized to contract a debt, in addition to any and all other debt which said Town may now or hereafter have power and authority to contract, and in evidence thereof to issue Transportation Bonds in an aggregate principal amount not exceeding $113,000,000 for the purpose of providing funds, together with any other available funds, for various transportation related improvements inside and outside the corporate limits of said Town, including, without limitation, improvements to streets and sidewalks, bridges and overpasses, parking and bicycle facilities, the installation of traffic controls, markers and signals, streetscape improvements and the acquisition of any related land, rights of way and equipment. 2. That taxes shall be levied in an amount sufficient to pay the principal of and the interest on said bonds. 3. That a sworn statement of debt of said Town has been filed with the Deputy Town Clerk and is open to public inspection. 4. That this order shall take effect when approved by the voters of said Town at a referendum as provided in said Act. The foregoing orders took effect on October 8, 2019. Anyone who wishes to be heard on the question of whether the maximum time period for issuing bonds under such orders should be extended from seven years to 10 years after such date may appear at a public hearing or an adjournment thereof to be held in the Council Chambers of the Town Hall located at 316 N.
