THE HIALEAH CITY COUNCIL AT ITS REGULARLY SCHEDULED MEETING OF AUGUST 12, 2025 APPROVED THE FOLLOWING PROPOSED ORDINANCES ON FIRST READING. SECOND READING AND PUBLIC HEARING FOR FINAL ADOPTION WILL BE HELD ON AUGUST 26, 2025.
ALL INTERESTED PARTIES ARE INVITED TO PARTICIPATE. THE MEETING WILL BEGIN AT 5:30 P.M. ORDINANCE OF THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HIALEAH, FLORIDA AMENDING CHAPTER 94 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF HIALEAH ENTITLED "WATER AND SEWERS", AND IN PARTICULAR, HIALEAH CODE §94-163 ENTITLED "WATER AND WASTEWATER PAYMENT IN LIEU OF FRANCHISE FEES" TO SUSPEND THE COLLECTION OF THE WATER AND WASTEWATER FRANCHISE FEE TO BE IMPOSED; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; PROVIDING FOR INCLUSION IN THE CODE; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
