ON JULY 28, 2025, A PETITION, TOGETHER WITH ACCOMPANYING RULE NISI, NOTICE TO RESPONDENTS AND INTERESTED PARTIES, AND LIS PENDENS, WAS FILED IN Bibb County Superior Court seeking foreclosure of the ad valorem tax lien(s) for the year(s) shown below: This Petition serves as notice to the Respondent(s) and all Interested Parties that (1) each party is presumed to own or have a legal interest in one or more of the Subject Properties, (2) that foreclosure proceedings have been commenced because of the failure to pay the real property taxes cited above, and (3) foreclosure will result in the loss of ownership of the Properties and all rights or interests of all Interested Parties. To avoid loss of ownership or any interest in the Property, payment of the full amount of taxes, penalties, interest, and costs must be paid to the Petitioner's office located at 188 Third Street, Macon, Georgia 31201 prior to any Court-ordered sale of the Property. An owner of the Property may redeem the Property within 60 days after the sale date by paying the full amount of taxes, penalties, interest and costs to the Bibb County Superior Court. A hearing on the above matter shall take place on the 5th day of September, 2025, at 9:30 a.m., Courtroom C, at the Bibb County Courthouse, 601 Mulberry Street, Macon, Georgia 31201. Said lot is more particularly described as fronting a distance of 50 feet on the easterly side of Helon Street, and extending back, with even width, a distance of 156 feet on its southerly side adjoining Lot 30, and a distance of 156 feet on its northerly side adjoining lot 28, and being 50 feet wide across the rear. The property hereinabove described and conveyed is bounded on the north by Lot 28, on the south by Lot 30, on the west by the right of way of Helon Street and on the east by a ten foot alley. This is the same property conveyed to Johnnie Flanders Shavis and Sue Shavis in deed dated April 24, 1975, recorded in Deed Book 1233, Page 287, Superior Court Clerk's Office, Bibb County, Georgia deed records.
