PUBLIC NOTICE John L. Newman has applied to the South Carolina Department of Environmental Services Bureau of Coastal Management for a permit to remove the existing pierhead, float, ramp, catwalk with 12'x13' boatlift and covered 14'x30 boatlift. Propose to construct a 4'x25' walkway with handrails extension to the existing 4'x117' walkway leading to a 12'x14' covered pierhead. Located to the flood side of the pierhead will be a 3'x38' catwalk with a 12'x13' 4 pile boatlift on the landward side and a 12'x15' boatlift with a 14'x30 'roof on the channelward side of proposed catwalk. Located to the ebb side of the pierhead will be a 10'x24' float attached by a 3'x30' ramp. Construct a 2'x8' sink area on the flood side of the walkway extension. The purpose of the dock is for private and recreational use at 115 Verdier Road, Beaufort, on and adjacent to the Beaufort River.
