STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION NOTICE OF APPLICATION The Department of Environmental Protection announces receipt of an application for permit from to operate a 143.000 mgd domestic wastewater treatment facility which would discharge 143 mgd of effluent to Atlantic Ocean; and inject 39.9 mgd of effluent to a Class I underground injection well which discharges to Class G-IV groundwater. The proposed project is located at latitude 25o 44' 42.84" N, longitude 80o 9' 12.64" W on 3989 Rickenbacker Causeway, (Virginia Key), Miami, Florida 33149 in Miami-Dade County. The Department has assigned permit file number FL0024805-048-DW1P to the proposed project. This application is being processed and is available for public inspection during normal business hours, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except legal holidays, at the Department's Southeast District Office, 3301 Gun Club Road, MSC 7210-1, West Palm Beach, Florida 33406- 3007, at phone number (561)681-6600 or SED_Permitting@floridadep.gov .
