COMMISSIONERS NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR PROPOSED NON-AD VALOREM ASSESSMENT INCREASE FOR STORMWATER UTILITY ON AUGUST 28TH, 2025
Notice is hereby given that the City of Anna Maria, Florida, will hold a public hearing to consider a proposed increase in their annual Stormwater Utility assessment.
Purpose of Assessment: To provide a stable, dedicated source of funding for stormwater drainage system operations, maintenance, and mandated compliance activities benefiting properties within the City limits.
Proposed Assessment Details:
Effective Fiscal Year: October 1, 2025 – September 30, 2026, and future fiscal years.
Proposed Rate: $4.00 per 100 square feet of total parcel area per year.
Estimated Annual Revenue: The total annual stormwater assessment revenue to be collected is estimated to be $600,544.82 for the upcoming fiscal year.

Time: 10:00 AM
Location: Anna Maria City Hall, City Commission Chambers, 10005 Gulf Drive, Anna Maria, FL 34216.
The public is invited and encouraged to attend this hearing to provide comments on the proposed assessment increase. Property owners subject to the assessment may also file a written objection with the City Clerk within twenty (20) days of this notice. Written comments for City Commissioners can be emailed to cityclerk@cityofannamaria.com.
