Mecklenburg County Government - NOTICE TO BIDDERS Land Use and Environmental Services Agency STEELE CREEK RECYCLING CENTER Sealed bid proposals will be received until 2:00 pm, on September 25, 2025 in the Hoffman Conference Room on the 4 th floor of the Mecklenburg County Land Use and Environmental Services Agency located at 2145 Suttle Avenue, Charlotte, NC 28208, for the construction of the Steele Creek Recycling Center at which time and place Bids will be opened and read aloud. Single-prime, unit price bids will be received for construction as indicated in the bidding documents. Proposals must be made on standard forms furnished in the Project Manual. The project is located at 9851 John Price Road (SR 1344), Charlotte, NC 28273, which is near the intersection of John Price Rd and Logistics Center Drive and is approximately 1.60 miles southwest of I-485 and Tryon Street (NC HWY 49) interchange. Entrance to the project will be near latitude is 35.126811° and longitude -80.945174 °. The laws of North Carolina and applicable regulations of various Licensing Boards and M/W/SBE provisions will be observed in receiving bids and awarding contracts. A mandatory attendance pre-bid meeting will be held on August 21, 2025 starting at 11:00 a.m., in the Woods Conference Room on the 4th floor of the Mecklenburg County Land Use and Environmental Services Agency located at 2145 Suttle Avenue, Charlotte, NC 28208. Those single-prime contractors intending to submit a bid proposal for this project will need to attend the pre-bid meeting. Prospective bidders can view the property at their discretion and will be available to view after the pre-bid meeting. Mecklenburg County reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive informalities or technicalities, as it may deem to be in its best interest.
