Advertisement for Bids — Ambassador Building Community Improvement District Construction of Roadway & Intersection Improvements I-29 and Cookingham Drive—Project No. ST0159
Notice to Contractors:
Sealed bids for Roadway and Intersection Improvements at I-29 and Cookingham Drive will be received at the office of Ambassador Building Community Improvement District, Attention Richard Chaves, Jr., 12200 N. Ambassador Drive, Kansas City, MO 64153 until 2:00 PM (Prevailing Local Time) on the 27th day of August 2025, and at that time will be publicly opened and read. All bids shall be submitted in the form of a written offer on the bid form provided in the bid documents.
The proposed work includes: construction of two (2) traffic roundabouts at the intersection of Interstate 29 and NW Cookingham Drive, Kansas City, Missouri, with one (1) such roundabout located west of Interstate 29, and one (1) such roundabout located east of Interstate 29. This is a public improvement project known as Project No. ST0159 with a Project Title of: Roadway & Intersection Improvements I-29 and Cookingham Drive.
Plans and specifications may be viewed or picked up and purchased from the office of Ambassador Building Community Improvement District, Attention Richard Chaves, Jr., 12200 N. Ambassador Drive, Kansas City, MO 64153.
All labor used in the construction of this public improvement shall be paid a wage no less than the prevailing hourly rate of wages of work in accordance with the requirements of Sections 290.210 through 290.340 Revised Statutes of Missouri, requiring payment of not less than the prevailing wages for the county where the work is to be performed, as well as Title 8, Division 30, Chapter 3 of the Code of State Regulations, the Prevailing Wage Order for Platte County Missouri, Annual Wage Order No. 32 Section 083 as filed with the Missouri Secretary of State March 10, 2025.
The Ambassador Building Community Improvement District hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, religion, creed, sex, age, ancestry, or national origin in consideration for an award.
All bidders must be on MoDOT's Qualified Contractor List per Section 102.2 from the current version of the Missouri Standard Specifications for Highway Construction, including all revisions. The contractor questionnaire must be on file seven (7) days prior to bid opening.
Contractors and sub-contractors who sign a contract to work on public works project shall provide a 10-Hour OSHA construction safety program, or similar program approved by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, to be completed by their on-site employees within sixty (60) days of beginning work on the construction project.
A certified or cashier's check or a bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) shall be submitted with each proposal.
The Ambassador Building Community Improvement District reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
The MBE goal for this project is fifteen percent (15%). The WBE goal for this project is ten percent (10%).
The project will be awarded to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder.
