PUBLIC NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR CONSISTENCY DETERMINATION UNDER THE COASTAL ZONE MANAGEMENT ACT The National Marine Fisheries Service has filed notice of a proposed project which requires review by the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources to ensure compliance with the state's approved Coastal Program under the Coastal Zone Management Act. The applicant is proposing make changes under the Gulf Reef Fish Fishery Management Plan to reduce catch limits for the Other Shallow Water Complex (scamp, yellowmouth grouper, black grouper, and yellowfin grouper) in the Gulf of America and establish a fixed closed season for the recreational sector that is expected to constrain harvest to the revised catch limit.
