Election Notice September 2025 As provided in the North Carolina General Statutes, 163-33(8), the Mecklenburg County Board of Elections hereby notifies the citizens of the Mecklenburg County that on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, we will conduct Primary Elections for the City of Charlotte. On the Democratic ballots will be the following offices: Democratic Mayor, Democratic City Council At-Large in all City of Charlotte precincts and Democratic City Council Districts 1,2, 3, 4 and 5 in their respective precincts only. On the Republican ballot there is only one Republican Primary for City of Charlotte City Council District 6 and will be available in District 6 precincts only. Unaffiliated voters may vote in The Democratic primary and in district 6 the Republican ballot requesting the party's ballot. Election Day precinct voting locations will be open on September 9, 2025, from 6:30am to 7:30pm. All City of Charlotte Voters in Precinct 209 will vote at Precinct 223 for this election and 2nd Primary (if necessary) only. All City of Charlotte voters in Precinct 225 will vote at Precinct 77 for this election and 2nd Primary (if necessary) only. You can register and vote at any early voting location and you can update your registration. Voter Registration and changes of address for the September 9, 2025 Primary Elections will close on Friday, August 15, 2025 to vote on election day.
