LEGAL NOTICE PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED DRAFT COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE The State College Planning Commission will hold a hybrid public hearing on Aug. 21, 2025, at 7:00 pm for the proposed draft Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance for the Borough of State College. The draft ordinance proposes changes from the current ordinance, adopted in 1959, that will incorporate national best practices with the goal of creating new housing opportunities and preserving community character. This public hearing is being held as part of a regular Planning Commission meeting and pursuant to the requirements of the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code (MPC), which states that in preparing a proposed zoning ordinance, the planning commission shall hold at least one public meeting pursuant to public notice (Article VI, Section 607.(b)).
