Program Applications for Colleton, Hampton
& Jasper County Council on Aging Agencies
The Lowcountry Council of Governments invites citizens to comment on the proposed Section 5310 applications to be submitted to the South Carolina Department of Transportation by July 25, 2025. The applications may be reviewed from July 25, 2025, through August 27, 2025, at the Lowcountry Council of Governments, 634 Campground Road, Yemassee, SC 29945. The Enhanced Mobility of Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities Program provides capital assistance for transportation options and services for the communities operating in the Lowcountry Region. Services are rendered by the Council on Aging agencies in Colleton, Hampton and Jasper counties. Colleton County Council on Aging is requesting an estimated $50,000 of federal funding and will meet the 20% local match of $12,500; Hampton County Council on Aging is requesting an estimated $100,000 of federal funding and will meet the 20% local match of $25,000; and Jasper County Council on Aging is requesting an estimated $75,000 of federal funding and will meet the 20% local match of $18,750 for the period July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026.
