BOISE CITY NOTICE OF CANDIDATE FILING DEADLINE City of Boise, Idaho NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, in accordance with Idaho Code Title 50, Chapter 4, Section 11, that the general election to be held in and for the City of Boise, Idaho, will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. The election will be held for the purpose of electing the following offices for the specified terms: Boise City Council, District 2 for a term of 4 years Boise City Council, District 4 for a term of 4 years Boise City Council, District 6 for a term of 4 years Per Idaho Code Title 50, Chapter 4, candidates for city elected offices are required to file a Declaration of Candidacy specifying the office sought and affirming that the individual is a qualified city elector, meaning: at least 18 years of age, a U.S. citizen, a registered voter within the time period provided by law. Candidates must also be a resident of the City for at least 30 days prior to submitting their candidacy, and a resident of the district in which they are running for office. The candidate's primary residence must be within the city, the address of the candidate's voter registration must match the residence address provided on the candidate's declaration. The Declaration of Candidacy must be accompanied by: (1) a nonrefundable filing fee of $40 or (2) a petition of candidacy signed by at least five (5) qualified city electors that have been verified by the Ada County Clerk's Office. Declarations of Candidacy are available at Boise City Hall in the office of the City Clerk at 150 N. Capitol Blvd., Boise, Idaho during business hours Monday through Friday, or can be found on the City of Boise's website.
