Notice of Public Hearing 2026 CDBG Annual Application Period Open The City of Kennewick anticipates receiving approximately $600,000 in CDBG funds for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program year 2026 from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Kennewick’s CDBG application will be available starting August 1, 2025. To be considered for funding, applicants must be a qualified non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and must address a priority need; be an eligible activity under 24 CFR 570.201, and meet national objective requirements which are outlined in the application packet. Final 2026 funding is dependent on actual federal allocation, amount of program income received from prior funded projects, and unallocated funds. Proposed activity awards may increase or decrease according to final 2026 funding available.
