NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING OPPORTUNITY Kansas City Area Transportation Authority (KCATA) FY2025 Proposed Program of Projects (POP) KCATA is offering an opportunity to submit comments or request a public hearing on the proposed Program of Projects for which assistance is being sought from the U.S. Department of Transportation under Sections 5307 & 5339 Programs. This POP will satisfy the Federal Transit Administration's (FTA) Section 5307 and 5339 public participation requirements. The funding will be used to support RideKC regional transit services in the Kansas City Metropolitan area. The projects are described as follows: The Proposed Program of Projects includes: Preventive Maintenance: $20,237,911 Operating Assistance: $20,678,948 Streetcar Construction: $35,985,775 Transit Buses: $8,419,149 Facility Rehab, Equipment & Other Capital: $10,043,994 Funding Sources: Section 5307: $40,306,009 FHWA Flex Funds: $22,516,205 Section 5339: $453,454 Local Funds: $32,090,109 Total: $95,365,777 Requests for additional information on KCATA's Program of Projects, written comments and/or requests for a public hearing may be submitted via the KCATA website (https://www.kcata.org/about_kcata/entries/contact_form) under Contact KCATA, select OTHER as the purpose on the form. Public comments or requests will be accepted by 3 p.m. Friday, August 8, 2025. If at least ten (10) written requests are received, a public hearing will be held via Video/Audio conference on Friday, August 15, 2025, at 10 a.m. A hearing will not be held if fewer than ten (10) requests are received.
