NOTICE OF PROPOSED TAX INCREASE The School Board of Miami-Dade County, Florida will soon consider a measure to increase its property tax levy. Last year’s property tax levy: A. Actual property tax levy……………………………. $ 3,507,148,297 This year’s proposed tax levy………………………. $ 3,792,806,621 A portion of the tax levy is required under state law in order for the school board to receive $1,037,278,607 in state education grants. The required portion has increased by 7.05 percent, and represents approximately five tenths of the total proposed taxes. The remainder of the taxes is proposed solely at the discretion of the school board. All concerned citizens are invited to a public hearing on the tax increase to be held on July 30, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. at the Board Auditorium, Miami-Dade County School Board Administration Building, 1450 N. E. Second Avenue, Miami, Florida, 33132. A DECISION on the proposed tax increase and the budget will be made at this hearing.
