CITY OF HIALEAH ADVERTISEMENT & INVITATION FOR BIDS (IFB) The City of Hialeah, Florida, will receive electronic (sealed) bids for the project entitled: Elevator Modernization – City Hall until Thursday, August 28, 2025, the bids must be submitted electronically in the manner specified below in the electronic submittal method described below and in no other manner. Elevator Modernization – City Hall BID #2024-25-047 Contract documents, including drawings, technical specifications, addendums, and Bid forms may be obtained by registering for free at https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/ cityofhialeahfl. The City of Hialeah is seeking bids from qualified elevator contractors to provide the modernization of two (2) electric traction passenger elevators at Hialeah City Hall located at 501 Palm Ave, Hialeah Fl 33010. The scope of work includes but is not limited to, new equipment, controls, wiring, cab, interior walls, ceilings and flooring, upgrades to the elevator rooms, connection to the existing fire alarm system, and any other item required for a complete elevator modernization. Each Bid shall be submitted electronically to the City’s e-procurement Portal located at https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/cityofhialeahfl no later than the date and time specified below. Bids received after said date and time and/or if any other format will not be considered and no time extensions will be granted. The City’s schedule for this Solicitation is as follows: Event Date Time Advertisement Date: Sunday, July 27, 2025 Pre-Bid Meeting: Tuesday, August 12, 2025 10:00 AM Last Date for Receipt of Written Tuesday, August 19, 2025 2:00 PM Questions: Deadline for Submittal of Bids: Thursday, August 28, 2025 11:00 AM (The City reserves the right to delay or modify scheduled dates and will notify Bidders in writing of all changes in scheduled dates.) A bid bond will be required if the bid amount exceeds $100,000.00. A Bid Bond, a certified check, cashier’s check, Treasurer’s check, or bank draft of any State or National Bank in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid amount must be submitted as an original hard copy prior to the closing date and time of the solicitation. Performance and Payment Bonds will be required if the contract amount exceeds $200,000.00. After an approved award, the successful Respondent shall post a Performance and Payment Bond from a Corporate Surety equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the project total, unless otherwise specified. The City of Hialeah reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any informalities or minor irregularities, technicalities, or omissions, in the bidding. Bids may be held over by the City of Hialeah Purchasing Division, at its sole discretion, for a period not to exceed one hundred eighty (180) days from the date of opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of the bidders, prior to consideration of the awarding of the contract. Please be advised that this Solicitation is issued subject to the City of Hialeah’s Code of Ordinances. and the Miami-Dade County “Cone of Silence”, see 2-11.1(t), Miami- Dade County Code, which are deemed as being incorporated by reference in this IFB.
