NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING PLACER COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS WHERE: Placer County Board of Supervisors, 175 Fulweiler Avenue Auburn, CA 95603 WHEN: August 5, 2025 at 9:00 AM, or as soon thereafter SUBJECT: COLFAX LIME KILN AND PRITCHARD QUARRY – PLACER COUNTY OFFICIAL REGISTER OF CULTURAL AND HISTORIC RESOURCES APPLICATION (PLN24-00365) CEQA EXEMPTION SUPERVISORIAL DISTRICT 5 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Placer County Board of Supervisors will conduct a public hearing at the above place and time to consider the Planning Commission's recommendation to approve the addition of the Colfax Lime Kiln and Pritchard Quarry to Placer County's Official Register of Cultural and Historic Resources and determine that this action is exempt from environmental review pursuant to California Environmental Quality Act Guidelines Section 15061(b)(3). The Board of Supervisors will also consider the adoption of an ordinance which will designate the Colfax Lime Kiln and Pritchard Quarry a cultural and historic resource and therein add it to the Placer County Official Register of Cultural and Historic Resources. The subject property, Assessor's Parcel Numbers 100-190-002-000 and 100-190-006-000, is approximately 45.6 acres in size, currently zoned F-B-100 PD = 0.4 (Farm, combining minimum building site of 100,000 square feet, combining Planned Residential Development 0.4 dwelling units per acre), and located off Ben Taylor Road, approximately three miles past Colfax High School, on the east side of the Bear River in the unincorporated area of Colfax.
