NOTICE SECTION 3 AND MWBE CONSTRUCTION WORK AVAILABLE The Villas at White Oak, LLC has been awarded Federal HOME funds for the purpose of developing Villas at White Oak Apartments, located along US Highway 70 in Garner, NC. The owner has since contracted with East Point Homes to serve as the General Contractor. To comply with the requirements of Section 3 of the HUD Act of 1968, bids to perform work on the 64-unit apartment community will be accepted at the office of: East Point Homes 166 Center Street Jacksonville, NC 28546 (910) 333-0691 We are interested in making sure that sub-contractors and owners of Section 3 Businesses and Minority and Women's Business Enterprises who live in, or whose businesses are located within the Garner area or Wake County know about the possible employment opportunities this project will offer. Sub-contractors and businesses are required to have liability insurance, workers compensation and evidence of qualification as a Section 3 entity or a MWBE business. Additionally, subcontractors must comply with the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act, the Copeland Act and the Fair Labor Standards Act.
