Public Notice Lynden School District, #504 NOTICE OF MEETING TO ADOPT 2025-2026 BUDGET AND CONDUCT PUBLIC HEARING & 2024-2025 BUDGET EXTENSION (GENERAL FUND & CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND) Notice is hereby given, pursuant to RCW 28A.505.050 and RCW 28A.505.060 that the Board of Directors (the "Board") of Lynden School District No. 504, Whatcom County, Washington (the "District") will hold a special meeting on August 21, 2025, commencing at 6:30 PM in the District Office, located at 516 Main Street, Lynden, Washington. The meeting is called for the purpose of fixing and adopting the budget of the District for the ensuing 2025-2026 Fiscal Year and the 2024-2025 General Fund (GF) & Capital Projects Fund (CPF) Budget Extension. Prior to adoption of the 2025-2026 Budget and the 2024-2025 GF & CPF Budget Extension, the Board will hold two (2) hearings for the purpose of receiving comments from the public on the 2025-2026 Budget and 2024-2025 GF & CPF Budget Extension. Any person may appear at the hearing and be heard for, or against any part of the 2025-2026 Budget, the four-year budget plan, or any proposed changes to uses of enrichment funding under TCW 28A.505.240 (approved by the voters as the 2025-2028 Education & Programs Levy). Upon conclusion of the hearing, the Board shall fix and determine the appropriation from each fund contained in the 2025-2026 Budget and the 2024-2025 GF & CPF Budget Extension and shall, by resolution, adopt the 2025-2026 Budget, the four-year budget plan summary, the four-year enrollment projection, and the 2024-2025 GF & CPF Budget Extension. 2025-2026 Budget information and 2024-2025 GF & CPF Budget Extension is available at the District Office and on the district's website.
