Notice is hereby given that the Board of Zoning Appeals of Columbus, Georgia will hold a public hearing 8/6/2025 2:00PM, in the City Council Chambers located on the 2nd Floor of the C.E. "Red" McDaniel City Services Located at
3111 Citizens Way, Columbus, GA 31906, relative to requested variances or modifications from the Zoning
Ordinance,
relative to property inside Columbus, Georgia, as follows:
Appeal Request at JMC FLATROCK PARTNERS LLC for a variance from the zoning ordinance for 6875 RAY WRIGHT WAY, Columbus: Applicant is requesting a variance to not screen rooftop mechanical equipment in the Highway 80 Overlay
District. Per section 2.5.19 subsection K (D) of the UDO all rooftop mechanical equipment shall be screened by parapets, upper stories, or other areas of exterior walls or roofs not be visible from public streets adjacent to or within 1,000
feet of the subject property, or at least equal to the height of the equipment to be screened, whichever is less. Fences or similar rooftop screening devices may not be used to meet this requirement. Rooftop equipment is currently installed and
visible from US Highway 80. The property is zoned Planned Mixed-Use Development.
Appeal Request at Pamela Kebler for a variance from the zoning ordinance for 9307 VETERANS PKWY, COLUMBUS: Applicant would like to request 2 additional parking spaces above the allowed 29 spaces for a total of 31 parking
spaces. The property is zoned General Commercial.
Appeal Request at YAHYA RAUF AHMAD for a variance from the zoning ordinance for 1626 SUMMIT DR, Columbus:
Applicant is requesting variance to overturn BHAR decision to not approve roofing materials used to re-roof home. the home was re-roofed after multiple attempts to fix leaks. The property is zoned Single Family Residential – 2.
Appeal Request at DAVID KAZYK for a variance from the zoning ordinance for 1927 18TH AVE, Columbus: Applicant is requesting variance to reduce rear setback from 30' to 10' to build new addition in place of existing addition. per the
UDO section 2.2.11 the rear setback for RMF1 is 30'. The property is zoned Residential Multi Family – 1
