The offices of Mayor and City Council Ward Four (4), Five (5), and Six (6) shall be elected for four-year terms to commence in January of 2026. If required, a runoff election will be held Tuesday, November 18, 2025. Candidate Filing: Any citizen desiring to be a candidate for the above listed offices must be a qualified elector, resident of the City of Rock Hill, and of the appropriate ward. Each candidate must file a Statement of Intention of Candidacy Form with the Board of Voter Registration and Elections Office of York County during the filing period. Candidate filing will open Wednesday, August 6, 2025 and close Friday, September 5, 2025. A filing fee of three hundred fifty-six dollars and eighty-nine cents ($356.89) is required for all candidates. Filing fees are to be paid at the time of filing by each candidate via check, cashier's check, or money order made payable to the York County Treasurer. Voter Registration: Any person desiring to register to vote in person for this election must do so no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 3, 2025 at the Board of Voter Registration and Elections Office of York; or complete and submit an online voter registration application at www.scVOTES.gov by Sunday, October 5, 2025 @ 11:59 p.m.; or when registering via postal mail, applications must be postmarked no later than Monday, October 6, 2025.
