ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Sealed Bids will be received by Town of Angier (OWNER) at the Conference Room of the Town of Angier Public Works Facility, located at 594 Campbell Street in Angier, NC until 2:00 p.m., local time, July 22nd, 2025, for the "Core System Waterline Replacement" project. A non-mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held at the same location on July 10th, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. The work for "Core System Waterline Replacement" includes the installation of approximately 203 LF of 2", 7,805 LF of 4", 21,408 LF of 6", 2,149 LF of 8",149 LF of 10" waterline, 132 gate valves, 28 fire hydrants, and 352 water services. At said place and time, and promptly thereafter, all Bids that have been duly received will be publicly opened and read aloud. All Bids must be in accordance with the Bidding Documents on file with the Town of Angier and at the office of MBD Consulting Engineers, P.A., 340 Commerce Avenue, Southern Pines, NC 28388. Copies of the Bidding Documents for use in preparing bids must be obtained from the Engineers at the address stipulated above upon payment of $200.00 for each complete set of documents. Plan costs are non-refundable. Bidders must be licensed contractors in the State of North Carolina for the type of work required. Bids will be received on a unit cost and lump sum price basis as described in the Contract Documents. The work is to commence within 15 days after the Date of Contract. Completion of the work is as required in the contract documents. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Construction Performance Bond and a Construction Payment Bond as security for the faithful performance and the payment of all bills and obligations arising from the performance of the Contract. Bid security in the amount of 5 percent of the total Bid must accompany each Bid. No Bid may be withdrawn within a period of 60 days after the date fixed for opening Bids. The Owner reserves the right to select alternatives, to reject any or all Bids, to waive informalities, and to reject nonconforming, nonresponsive, or conditional Bids.
