NOTICE OF DISCHARGE OF UNTREATED SEWAGE The City of Durham had a discharge of untreated wastewater from our wastewater collection system at the Eno Lift Station located at the end of Denfield Street of approximately 6.8 million gallons. The discharge occurred on July 7 and 8, 2025 for approximately 41 hours during Tropical Storm Chantal. The untreated wastewater entered into Eno River in the Neuse River Basin. Once floodwater had stopped and crews could access the lift station they repaired two lift station pumps and put the station back into service.
