LEGAL NOTICE NOTICE is hereby given that Valley County, Idaho invites bids for the EDA Bridge Replacement Project, Abstein Road. Sealed bids will be received at the office of the Valley County Road & Bridge Department, 520 South Front Street, Cascade, Idaho 83611 until 3:00 p.m. (local time), August 11, 2025, at which time they will be publicly opened. Following the Bid Opening, the bids will be read and recommended to the Valley County Board of Commission. In accordance with the plans and specifications, the work shall consist of installing a new bridge crossing on Abstein Road over the East Fork of the South Fork Salmon River (EFSFSR) in the community of Yellow Pine. Abstein Road is a rural local roadway maintained by the Valley County Road and Bridge Department. A new pre-engineered modular steel bridge (16' wide x 90' long) on precast concrete abutments will be constructed over the EFSFSR immediately downstream of the existing bridge. The new bridge shall conform to the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials Load and Resistance Factor Design (AASHTO LRFD) Specifications. The existing bridge and approaches will remain in place to be repurposed as a pedestrian path, and Abstein Road will be realigned to approach the new bridge. Valley County has prepared the Proposal Documents for Submittal and the Contract Documents, including the Plan Sets, in PDF format.
