DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY INTENT TO ISSUE NPDES WASTEWATER DISCHARGE PERMIT # NC0088137 Public comment or objection to the draft permit is invited. All comments received by August 13, 2025, will be considered in the final determination regarding permit issuance and permit provisions. PERMIT APPLICATION Raleigh Convention Center, 500 South Salisbury Street, Raleigh, NC 27601, has requested a renewal of NPDES wastewater permit (NC0088137) for its existing groundwater remediation system located in Wake County. The facility discharges treated and untreated contaminated groundwater of petroleum hydrocarbon and chlorinated compounds to an Unnamed Tributary to Rocky Branch sourced to Rocky Branch, class C and NSW waters in the Neuse River Basin. Some parameters are water quality limited. The location of the following outfalls are: Outfall 001: Latitude: 34°46'26.58" N, Longitude: 78°38'28.60" W; and internal Outfall 002: Latitude: 34°46'26.43" N, Longitude: 78°38'28.37" W.
