Fiber AssetCo LLC, ("Fiber AssetCo") filed an Application for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity to provide resold and facilities-based local exchange and interexchange (including exchange access) telecommunications services in South Carolina with the Public Service Commission of South Carolina (the "Commission"). Fiber AssetCo and Crown Castle Fiber LLC ("CCF") (together the "Applicants") have requested that the Commission approve the transfer of assets, including customer contracts and related telecommunications network infrastructure, from CCF to Fiber AssetCo (the "Transaction"). What are the Applicants asking the Commission to approve? The Applicants request the Commission issue an Order: Granting Fiber AssetCo a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity to provide resold and facilities-based local exchange and interexchange (including exchange access) telecommunications services. Authorizing Fiber AssetCo to use flexible regulation procedures for local exchange telecommunications services as outlined in Order No. 98-165 in Docket No. 97-467-C. Authorizing Fiber AssetCo to use procedures established for alternative regulation for interexchange telecommunications services as outlined in Order Nos. 95-1734 and 96-55 in Docket No. 95-661-C and as modified by Commission Order No. 2001-997 in Docket No. 2000-407-C. Waiving the application of certain Commission rules pursuant to S.C. Code Ann. Regs. 103-601(3). Approving the transfer of assets from CCF to Fiber AssetCo as described in the Application. The case was filed according to S.C. Code Ann. Section 58-9-280, Section 58-9-585 and Section 58-9-310, and the rules and regulations of the Commission; and this hearing has been scheduled according to S.C. Code Ann. Section 58-9-280(B) and S.C.
