NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Grand Prairie City Council will hold a Public Hearing in the City Council Chambers at City Hall Plaza, 300 West Main Street on Monday, July 14, 2025 at 6:30 P.M. to receive public comment on expansion of the:
Grand Prairie Public Improvement District No. 5,
Forum Estates PID
to include annexation of The Preserve at Forum subdivision. The Public Improvement District will provide, through a special assessment, funding for the purpose of maintenance and repair of existing and future public landscape and other enhancements to specified public areas within the District. The estimated cost of maintenance and improvements for this portion of the District's operations for fiscal year 2025/26 is $5,084. The general boundaries of the assessment district are as follows: The Preserve at Forum subdivision. At a public hearing in September of each year, the City Council will consider levying an assessment against improved real property in the District based on the appraised value of the property. Assessments will be collected through the same systems used to collect ad valorem property taxes. A five year service plan, to be adopted by the City Council, will define the nature and projected cost of the improvements to be funded by the assessment. The proposed apportionment of cost will be totally borne by the Public Improvement District for those improvements identified in the five year service plan. Citizens may present written or oral comments or objections at the Public Hearing. The Public Hearing is not limited to those persons receiving this notice.
