NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING The public is put on notice that the Town of Huntersville will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at 6:00 PM on the following petitions. These public hearings will be held in person at Huntersville Town Hall located at 101 Huntersville-Concord Road Huntersville NC 28078. View-only live stream options are available and will be indicated on the meeting agenda published one week prior to the meeting. Petition#R25-06, a request by Robert and Heather Dubiel to rezone +/- 11.265 acres at 12300 McCord Road from General Residential (GR) to Transitional Residential (TR). Petition #TA25-01, a request by the Huntersville Planning Department to amend Articles 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, and 12 of the Huntersville Zoning Ordinance. The purpose of the amendment is to revise terms and definitions for residential uses and structures. Petition #TA25-04, a request by the Huntersville Planning Department to amend Articles 7.2 and 7.4 of the Huntersville Zoning Ordinance. The purpose of the amendment is to clarify tree survey requirements and limit the amount of tree mitigation permitted. Petition #TA25-06, a request by the Huntersville Planning Department to amend Articles 3.2.1, 3.2.2, 4, 7.5, and 9.64 of the Huntersville Zoning Ordinance. The purpose of the amendment is to specify the planting standards for existing required buffers, clarify the applicability of buffer requirements, specify performance requirements for buffers, align the vegetation requirements with the intent of buffers, and centralize buffer standards. Petition #TA25-08, a request by the Huntersville Planning Department to amend Articles 3, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 14 of the Huntersville Zoning Ordinance. This request also proposes to amend Sections 2, 6, 7, 8, and 9 of the Huntersville Subdivision Ordinance. The purpose of the amendment is to revise requirements for permanent stormwater control measures, community meetings, existing features plans, berm standards, urban open space, farmhouse clusters, open space for minor subdivisions, and provide consistency with SB 166. The public is invited to attend the hearing and comment on the proposed changes. Substantial changes may occur to the request based on comments.
