ADVERTISEMENT Parkland Community Trail – Phase 1 2025-MPW-096 SCOPE OF WORK: Parkland Community Trail will connect the Sprinker Recreation facility with the Parkland Prairie. It will provide a safe pedestrian pathway for the neighborhoods to access these Pierce County Parks. The pathway will be a 12-foot-wide paved asphalt path leading to a bridge in the Parkland Prairie. A few major elements of the project are the paved trail, a bridge over Clover Creek, and bioswales along the right-of-way. The trail will connect from the prairie to PLU, Gonyea Park, and local schools in the area. We hope this trail will become a major thoroughfare for pedestrians in the area. * Pierce County will pay fees for the General Building Permit and Plan Review for this project. The Contractor is responsible for any specialty or other permits required for this project and shall include such fees in their bid. PROJECT ESTIMATE:$3,000,000.00 not including WA State Sales Tax APPRENTICESHIP UTILIZATION: In accordance with RCW 39.04.320, for all public works estimated to cost two million dollars or more, the State of Washington requires no less than fifteen percent (15%) of the labor hours be performed by apprentices.
