NOTICE OF PROPOSED RULE AMENDMENT AND PUBLIC HEARING Pursuant to section 120.54 (3) (a) 1, Florida Statutes (2024), notice is hereby given by the School Board of Manatee County, Florida, that it intends to consider amending the Code of Student Conduct and the Student Progression Plan. The Code of Student Conduct and Student Progression Plan are reviewed and revised annually. The Code of Conduct serves as the School Board's policies and procedures for governing student behavior on school grounds, at school activities, and while being transported to and from school. The Student Progression Plan defines the criteria for graduation, promotion, intensive remediation, course offerings, evaluating student performance, and reporting to students and parents. The School Board approved the current Code of Student Conduct and Student Progression Plan on July 23, 2024. Public hearing on the proposed rule will be held during the regularly scheduled School Board meeting on July 29, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. at the Administration Building, 215 Manatee Ave W., Bradenton, Florida. Any material pertinent to the issues under consideration submitted to the Superintendent within 28 days after the date of publication of this notice or submitted at the public hearing shall be considered by the Board and made a part of the rulemaking record.
