REPORT PUBLIC MEETING
Date/Time: Monday, July 14, 2025, 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. PDT
Location: California American Water's Sacramento Operations Center –
Conference Room, 4701 Beloit Drive, Sacramento CA 95838
All interested members of the public or stakeholders are invited to view California American Water's 2025 Water Quality Public Health Goals Triennial Report (PHG Report) and learn about water quality testing programs pertaining to its Antelope, Lincoln Oaks, Parkway and Suburban-Rosemont systems. At the meeting, water quality staff will provide an overview and be available to answer questions about the report.
What is the Public Health Goals Report?
Public Health Goals (PHGs) are non-enforceable goals established by Cal-EPA's Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA). They are equivalent to the Maximum Contaminant Level Goal (MCLG) established by the US EPA. Health and Safety Code Section 116470(b) requires water utilities serving more than10,000 service connections to prepare a special report for the public every three years to discuss those contaminants that have an existing Maximum Contaminant Level (MCL) standard and were detected at a level above their PHG or MCLG during the past three years. While the water quality results are reported annually in the Annual Water Quality Report, the triennial PHG Report contains more information on health effects, best available treatment technologies and treatment cost estimates.
