The applications to be reviewed are as follows: DIC Zoning
10:00am G2021000001- Miami-Dade County Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (“the Applicant”) is requesting the demolition of the existing Training and Treatment Center (TTC), also known as the Stockade, on the site. The property is located at 7000 NW 41 Street. In its place a new Booking & Release Center, Courtrooms, Central Warehouse facility, Parking Garage, and MDCR Administration Building will comprise, along with the Turner Guilford Knight Center, an integrated correctional campus. This application is being processed as a Governmental Facility to allow for modifications to the existing correctional facility. Primary land use will continue as a County-run correctional facility.
10:15am Z2025000035 - House of Wellness (“the Applicant”) is requesting a Special Exception for a general development plan with the purpose of designating the Property, located in the proximity of the Metromover Station, as part of the “Metromover Subzone of the Rapid Transit Zone”, and assigning to it the applicable permitted uses in accordance with Section 33C-15 of the County’s Code of Ordinances. The Project will include the following uses: 832 Lodging units, Level 2-6 – Lobby and Amenity Areas and Level 44 – Swimming Pool, Pool Deck and Amenity Spaces. The Property is located on the south side of SW 9th Street and between the SW 2nd Avenue and SW 1st Avenue. See Figure 1 below, Property Aerial. The Property is a block west of the Brickell Metrorail Station and the Metromover station, just to the east. The Property has a gross lot area, to the centerline of the abutting rights-of-way of approximately 26, 260 square feet (0.603 acres).
10:30am Z2025000043 - House of Wellness (“the Applicant”) is requesting Administrative Site Plan Review (“ASPR”) consistent with the general development plans for the subject Property that were submitted as a part of the Special Exception application for the Property (Z2025000035). The Property is located on the south side of SW 9th Street and between the SW 2nd Avenue and SW 1st Avenue. See Figure 1 below, Property Aerial. The Property is a block west of the Brickell Metrorail Station and the Metromover station, just to the east. The Property has a gross lot area, to the centerline of the abutting rights-of-way of approximately 26, 260 square feet (0.603 acres). The Applicant intends to redevelop the Property with a modern hotel (the “Project”). The Project will be approximately forty-seven (47) stories or 481 feet in height.
