Central Waste Complex Outdoor Storage Area public comment period July 16 12:00 am to Sept. 5, 2025, 11:59 pm Ecology is holding a 45-day public comment period on proposed modifications to the Dangerous Waste Portion for the Treatment, Storage, and Disposal of Dangerous Waste, Revision 8C (Sitewide Permit). This change will add Closure Unit Group 34, Outdoor Storage Area A (OSA-A), to the Sitewide Permit. The permittees are the U.S. Department of Energy and Central Plateau Cleanup Company. The OSA-A is located in the Central Waste Complex on the Hanford Site in southeastern Washington. The proposed permit modification will be available for review starting July 16, 2025, on the Nuclear Waste Program's public comment page Ecology.wa.gov/Waste-Toxics/Nuclear-waste/Public-comment-periods.
