NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL OF CITY OF ATWATER ON THE CONTINUATION OF THE LEVY OF ANNUAL ASSESSMENTS UNDER THE BENEFIT ASSESSMENT ACT OF 1982 FOR FISCAL YEAR 2025/26 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing, at which all interested persons will be heard, will be held before the City Council of the City of Atwater, at 750 Bellevue Road, Atwater, California, on July 14, 2025, at 6:00 p.m., for the Fiscal Year 2025/26 levy of assessments under the Benefit Assessment Act of 1982 through the City of Atwater's Lighting and Drainage Maintenance Districts (the "Districts"). The Council will hear and consider all protests with regard to the levy of assessments, including any protests with regard to the amount of the proposed assessments to be levied within the Engineer's Report. At the conclusion of the public hearing, the Council may adopt, revise, change, reduce, or modify any assessment and shall make its determination upon each assessment described in the Engineer's Report for Fiscal Year 2025/26. NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that pursuant to statutory authorization, a written report (the "Engineer's Report") prepared by the City's Assessment Engineer describing the Districts has been filed with the City Clerk. The Engineer's Report contains a description of each parcel of property within the boundaries of the Districts on which a benefit assessment is proposed to be levied and sets forth the amount of the proposed benefit assessment for each such parcel. A copy of the Engineer's Report, which includes the proposed rates, preliminary assessment roll and boundary diagram of each District, is on file and available for review by the public at the office of the City Clerk at 1160 Fifth Street, Atwater, California.
