NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Federal regulations governing Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and other U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) programs require that a participating jurisdiction provide citizens with reasonable notice of and an opportunity to comment on the Annual Action Plan (AAP), which will direct the City's use of CDBG funds. These funds provide programs that benefit low- to-moderate income persons in the City.
This notice formally advises that the Program Year (PY) 2025 AAP can be downloaded from the City of Miami Gardens Department of Community Development website at https://www.miamigardens-fl.gov/170/Community-Development. Written comments will be received for thirty (30) days, starting July 3, 2025 until August 3, 2025. To view a hardcopy of the document and submit comments please visit a location listed below. Public Hearing: The City will hold a public hearing on July 2, 2025 at 3:00 PM to review and discuss the proposed AAP. The public hearing will be held at City Hall in the Community Room, 18605 NW 27th Avenue, Miami Gardens, FL 33056.
The PY 2025 AAP outlines proposed projects and activities by the City's CDBG program to address the identified priority needs and goals of the Consolidated Plan. The City will receive $970,105 in CDBG funding from HUD for PY 2025, which begins October 1, 2025 and ends September 30, 2026. Please see below for the estimated budget:
CDBG Administration: $194,021
CDBG Public Services: $145,515
CDBG Public Facilities & Infrastructure: $530,569
CDBG Owner-Occupied Housing Rehab: $100,000
