Notice of Public Hearing Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by the Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) in the Commission Chambers, Second floor, 111 NW First Street, Miami, Florida, during a meeting to begin at approximately 9:30 AM on July 1st, 2025 to consider the reconsidered recommendation of Citizens’ Independent Transportation Trust (CITT) to approve the proposed 11 projects listed below and an amendment to the FY 2025-2029 Five-Year Implementation Plan of the People’s Transportation Plan (PTP) to add those 11 projects. 1. Fifth Street Transformer & 600vac Cable Replacement 2. Mainline Video Upgrade Phase 2 3. Third Rail Isolation Disconnect Switches Replacement 4. Metromover Fire Panel Upgrade 5. Track Inspection Vehicle/Train 6. Emergency Backup Generators (Metrobus Transportation Buildings) 7. New Track and Guideway Work Facility 8. Metrorail Traction Power Switchgear Replacement Phase 4 9. Metrorail and Metromover Electronic Real Time Signage 10. Train Wayside Communication Equipment Installation at Rail 11. Green/Orange Lines and PYD Switch Machine and Cable Replacement The CITT is recommending the approval of the 11 projects and an amendment to the FY 2025-29 Five Year Implementation Plan Update of the People’s Transportation Plan to include those 11 projects, funded in part/whole by Charter County Transportation Surtax Funds. At the hearing, the BCC will afford an opportunity for interested persons or agencies to be heard with respect to the social, economic, and environmental aspects of these projects. Interested persons may submit orally, or in writing, evidence and recommendations with respect to said projects. A person who decides to appeal any decision made by any board, agency, or commission with respect to any such matter considered at its meeting or hearing will need a record of all proceedings. Such person may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, including testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is based.
