CITY OF AVENTURA NOTICE OF HEARING OF LOCAL PLANNING AGENCY AND NOTICE OF HEARING OF THE CITY COMMISSION Public Notice is hereby given that the City of Aventura Local Planning Agency will meet in a public hearing on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. to consider a motion recommending adoption of the following Resolution: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF AVENTURA, FLORIDA, GRANTING AMENDED CONDITIONAL USE APPROVAL PURSUANT TO SECTION 31-145(B)(3)M OF THE CITY CODE TO PERMIT THE DEVELOPMENT OF PADEL COURTS, SHADE COVERS, AND ACCESSORY FACILITIES ON THE TOP FLOOR OF THE EXISTING PARKING GARAGE LOCATED AT 18851 NE 29 AVENUE; PROVIDING FOR CONDITIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Immediately following the Local Planning Agency meeting, the City Commission of the City of Aventura, as the governing body, will consider at a public hearing, the above-described Resolution for adoption. The above-described Public Hearing will be held in person in the City Commission Chamber at the City of Aventura Government Center, 19200 West Country Club Drive, Aventura, Florida, 33180. The proposed Resolution may be inspected by the public at the Office of the City Clerk, 19200 West Country Club Drive, Aventura, Florida or/and online at cityofaventura.com located under the meeting agendas for the respective meetings. Interested parties may provide comments on the proposed Resolution via access to the meeting or may file comments in writing prior to the hearing date by mail to the City of Aventura Community Development Department at 19200 W. In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, all persons who are disabled and who need special accommodations to participate in these proceedings because of that disability should contact the Office of the City Clerk, (305) 466-8901 or cityclerk@cityofaventura.com, not later than two business days prior to such proceedings. If a person decides to appeal any decision made by the City Commission, with respect to any matter considered at a meeting or hearing, that person will need a record of the proceedings and, for such purpose, may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
