NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING PURSUANT TO NORTH CAROLINA GENERAL STATUTE 158-7.1 The Gaston County Commission intends, subject to public comment at the public hearing for which notice is hereby given, pursuant to North Carolina General Statute 158-7.1; to approve a Level Four Economic Development Incentive for Project ARRIVAL. Project ARRIVAL is considering locating its operations into an existing building within Gaston County. Based on information provided by the company, Project ARRIVAL anticipates creating 175 job opportunities with an average annual salary exceeding $52,354 which is above the County average wage. The project anticipates a total investment of $56 million in machinery & equipment and real estate upfit. The actual qualifying Local Investment Grant to be provided will be determined by the actual value of the net new taxable investment as determined by the Gaston County Tax Assessor. The Gaston County Tax Assessor will determine the final value for all net new taxable investment in real estate and machinery & equipment. The Board of Commissioners of Gaston County will hold a public hearing on the County's proposed incentive agreements at 6:00 p.m., in the Harley B. Gaston, Jr. Public Forum, Gaston County Courthouse, 325 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Way, Gastonia, NC on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at which time any person may be heard regarding the project. The County Commissioners invite all interested persons to attend and present their views. Following the public hearing, the Board of Commissioners intends to consider the request to approve the grant.
