Sealed Bids for Gregg Township Bitner Hollow Road Bridge Replacement Project ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Sealed bids for the Gregg Township Bitner Hollow Road Bridge Replacement Project, which involves the construction of a bridge replacement in Gregg Township must be received by the Gregg Township Secretary/Treasurer, Attention: Vicky Vanada, 106 School Street, PO Box 184, Spring Mills, PA 16875 by 1:00 p.m. (prevailing time), June 25, 2025. The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud on June 26, 2025, at 106 School Street, Spring Mills, PA 16875, beginning at 2:00 p.m. The Township assumes no responsibility for Bids mailed but not received. Bids received after 1: OO PM on June 25, 2025, will not be accepted. No pre-bid meeting will be held as part of this advertisement/bid. The bidders and the public are welcome to attend the bid opening. The construction drawings and project manual must be obtained by contacting the engineer, ATCS PA, INC. at 700 Park Ave, Suite 1, Altoona, PA 16602; hobeid@atcs.com, 814-932-1815. ALL Contractors are REQUIRED to register with the engineer for the ability to acquire the construction drawings and project manual for this project. Only registered bidders will receive notification of Addenda to the bid documents. Failure to register as a prospective bidder may result in Addendums not being received/recognized and may result in a rejected bid. It is the responsibility of any person or organization interested in a hard copy of the Bidding Documents to pay all costs associated with printing. Contact the Engineer, ATCS PA, INC. at 700 Park Ave, Suite 1, Altoona, PA 16602; 814-932-1815 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with any questions pertaining to this advertisement. All requests for information or document clarifications during the bid process shall be emailed to hobeid@atcs.com. In person, telephone and/or facsimile questions will not be accepted. All responses and addendums will be emailed to all registered contractors. All questions are due by 12:00 PM on June 23, 2025. Each BID must be accompanied by a Bid Bond payable to the Gregg Township Board of Supervisors for ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the BID. As soon as the BID prices have been compared, the Township will return the Bonds of all except the three lowest responsible bidders. When the Agreement is executed, the bonds of the two remaining unsuccessful bidders will be returned. The Bidder acknowledges that this bid is for a public works contract and the bidder is therefore subject to the provisions, duties, obligations, and penalties of the Public Works Employment Verification Act, 43 P.S. 167.1 - 167.11, which is incorporated herein by reference. The Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities in the bidding, or to limit the scope of work involved. No bidder may withdraw a bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Should there be reasons why the contract cannot be awarded within the specified period, the time may be extended by mutual agreement between the Township and the Bidder. All Contractors must be PennDOT prequalified. All Contractors shall comply with all State and Federal laws prohibiting discrimination in hiring employment opportunities. Established PA Prevailing wages apply to this contract. The contract documents have a goal for addressing prevailing labor wage rates, labor standards, and non-discrimination in hiring practices.
