PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE The Whatcom County Council will hold a public hearing, consider adopting, and may amend the following at its 6 p.m. meeting on July 8, 2025, or at a later date: ORDINANCE GRANTING WHATCOM COUNTY WATER DISTRICT #2 A FRANCHISE AND THE RIGHT, PRIVILEGE, AND AUTHORITY THEREUNDER TO LOCATE, SET, ERECT, LAY, CONSTRUCT, EXTEND, SUPPORT, ATTACH, CONNECT, MAINTAIN, REPAIR, REPLACE, ENLARGE, OPERATE AND USE FACILITIES IN, UPON, OVER, UNDER, ALONG, ACROSS AND THROUGH THE FRANCHISE AREA TO ALLOW FOR THE PROVISION OF WATER SERVICES (AB2025-420): This ordinance grants a twenty-five (25) year franchise to Whatcom County Water District #2 for the provision of water services in unincorporated Whatcom County per the terms of the franchise agreement. Council introduced the above at its June 10, 2025 meeting.
